Additional Information

– When submitting your documents to EPU, you should dispatch hard copies through a reputable courier service directly to the University at the following address:
European Polytechnical University, 9th Floor, Admissions Office, 23 Kiril i Metodiy Street, Pernik 2300, Bulgaria.

– All documents submitted with your application must be translated into the Bulgarian language. The originals or certified copies must be legalized by the Bulgarian Embassy in your home country.

– It is possible to contact a translation service in Bulgaria and arrange to courier your documents to them for translation, and then have them forward your documents to EPU. However, please be aware that EPU cannot provide any support in this matter.

– Your documents must be either originals or certified copies. All documents submitted with your application must be translated into the Bulgarian language and be properly notarized by the translator. They should arrive attached to the translated documents. The translated documents must be notarized in the Republic of Bulgaria.

– Please be aware that once documents have arrived at EPU, we will not be able to return them if you wish to cancel your application. If you need to have your documents returned, you will need to arrange for a courier to pick up your documents from EPU at your own expense.

– Your documents should be officially legalized in your home country according to international agreements with Bulgaria or through a general legalization procedure if no specific agreement exists.

– If your country is part of the Hague Convention for legalization, you can use an apostille for legalization.

– The minimum average score on the diploma obtained upon completion of secondary education, which forms the basis for the specialization to which you are applying, should not fall below 62% of the maximum score achievable within the assessment system of the country where the secondary education was completed. You must also have a math score not lower than 62% of the maximum.

– Please arrange to pay the €40 application fee when submitting your documents. Please contact our front office for details on how to pay this fee. (office@epubg.eu)

Please note:

1. You should contact the Bulgarian Embassy in your home country or country of residence for more information about treaties, legalization, and translation services. Arrange an appointment for required services as soon as possible. Many embassies are known to have long wait times.

2. EPU is not able to provide translation services for your documents. The requirement for the translation is per the regulations of the Ministry of Education in the State of Bulgaria and is not a requirement which can be waived under any circumstances.

3. Please do not email documents to EPU for review. The available time of our staff is limited and we are unable to review documents outside of official applications with the application fee paid. If you require a Conditional Offer letter for the purpose of obtaining documents, you must contact our front office and request this service. This will require the payment of the application fee before the letter can be issued. (You will not have to pay twice)

4. If you have specific questions about your application, please contact us and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

5. It is advisable to only submit certified copies with your application and not original documents.

6. EPU does not charge students any fees outside of our application fee, tuition fee, and any support services required (such as power of attorney to handle some steps on your behalf.) Any fees paid to independent agents to help support your application are strictly between yourself and the persons or organizations with whom you choose to work and we are not responsible for the quality or accuracy of the work of anyone who is not a member of EPU’s staff. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the university directly.

8. EPU is an equal opportunity university. We categorically reject all forms of discrimination and consider applications based solely on academic merit and the suitability of all supplied documents. EPU gives no consideration to any applicant’s race, gender, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or physical ability.

9. EPU is fully GDPR compliant. At all times, we will take all humanly possible measures to protect the security and privacy of your data.

10. EPU has no standing to confer or deny student visas. Such decisions are at the sole discretion of the relevant governmental authorities.
