Bachelor and master programmes in psychology – blended form

The International Department of the European Polytechnical University, member and Country Manager of PEGASO UNIVERSITY GROUP, ensure logistics and support for the delivery of the bachelor and master programmes in psychology.

Programmes and Training are blended forms. Students will have online courses, organized on a special platform. Attendance will be organized at the premises of the European Polytechnical University in Bulgaria. Exam sessions will be fixed in Italy and Bulgaria. Bulgarian Professors will be officially included in Italian professors staff.

Attendance and courses can be delivered also in English for the blended model.

The annual tuition fee for the bachelor programme is EUR 2000 (BGN for Bulgarian citizens)

ESI 2017

On June 9 and 10, 2017 at the European Polytechnical University was held the seventh international scientific conference “Education, Science, Innovation” ESI’17.

The goal of the conference was to bring together professors, students, specialists and researchers to share experiences and discuss current topics on innovation in science and education.

Over 120 scientists from Bulgaria, Italy, USA, Northern Ireland, Australia, Ukraine, Greece, Serbia, Macedonia took part in the conference.

The conference was opened by Prof. Marin Marinov, Rector of EPU. A welcome speech wasgiven by Prof. Giuseppe Saccone, the President of EPU. Congratulation to the participants was expressed by the Deputy Minister of Education Prof. Ivan Dimov, the representatives of the Municipality of Pernik and guests from Bulgaria and abroad. Academics from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences participated in the Conference.

 

The plenary session was chaired by Prof. Vladimir Lazarov, Vice-Rector on Science and International Relations of EPU. The plenary reports were presented by:

– Prof. Jean-Luc Gaudiot – the University of California (USA) and President of the World Organization of Computer Specialists IEEE;
– Dr. Robert Eadie – Ulster University (Northern Ireland);
– Prof. Angel Smrikarov – University “Angel Kanchev”, Rousse and Chairperson of the Academic Community of Computer Systems and Information Technologies;
– Prof. Georgi Chobanov – European Polytechnical University.
The conference sessions continued on the next day with presentation of the scientific reports within six sessions:

– Achievements and Innovations in Civil Engineering;
– Achievements and innovation in the economy;
– Innovation in Education;
– Achievements and Innovations in Computer Science;
– Green Energy and Sustainable Development;
– Achievements and Innovations in Psychology.
The main reports topics were related to Sustainable Economic and Social Development: sustainable construction, energy efficiency, seismic vulnerability of buildings and renovation of buildings, project management in construction, potential for wastewater use, ICT use in medicine , Air quality, robotics and artificial intelligence, robots for help of adults and people with disabilities, aging population, work environment and stress, current issues of innovation activity in Education and control of school education, tattoo communication, effective leadership, fight against corruption, strategies for development and company survival.

Representatives of electronic and print media were invited to a press conference to cover the University event.

All approved reports of the conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Following the traditions established, the plenary session on June 9 ended with two memorable ceremonies:

Dr. Robert Eadie presented the annual award for the Best and Successful student in Civil Engineering established in the name of his deceased wife, Tsvetanka Lilova, to Apostolos Kourduglou. The award-winning fourth-year student gave an emotional speech, expressing gratitude for the recognition and care to the professors as specialists.

The President Prof. Giuseppe Saccone presented diplomas graduates of the Bachelor’s program “Civil Engineering”.

Eng. Omer Ayazoglu, on his and his colleagues’ behalf expressed their gratitude to the University and the academic staff for their assistance in acquisition solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills with which they have already started working in practice.

The European Polytechnical University inaugurated a laboratory of Robotics

The European Polytechnical University inaugurated a laboratory of Robotics on 27 November 2015 headed by Assoc. Prof. Nayden Shivarov, PhD.

The opening took place during the European Robotics Week, which aims to show the role and application of robotics in all life areas and to encourage the younger generation to careers in science.

Among the speakers at the opening, clearly distinguished was the name of one of the founders of robotics in Bulgaria – acad. Nedko Shivarov, who has created the first school robot- ROBCO 01.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Ventsislav Slavkov – Chairman of the Board of Cluster Mechatronics and Automation, eng. Nedelcho Devetakov and eng. Margarita Alexandrova from VC “Convert”.

Students and teachers from the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics “Hristo Smirnenski”, town of Pernik observed demonstrations of different types of robots.
